CUMMING, Ga. — Mia’s Pizza and Eats of Cumming will donate 100 percent of its dessert sales to UNICEF’s relief efforts in Japan.

The fundraiser will take place all day Tuesday, April 5 and Thursday, April 7.

Mia’s seeks to raise funds to enable UNICEF to provide for the unique needs of children in Japan.

The owners said in a news release that Mia’s chose UNICEF for several reasons.

“The biggest being our love and devotion to our own child. As parents, the disaster in Japan struck us so deeply, and it was particularly poignant to us that Japanese children begin their school year in April. We wanted to do something to help them regain their normal routines, and we knew UNICEF would be a trusted and worthwhile charity to support. They do work all over the world, specifically for children who survive natural and man-made disasters.”

Mia’s plans to make all types of desserts including cheesecakes, Oreo ice cream cake, cannoli, ice cream sundaes, and dessert pizzas. Desserts will range in price from $2 to $10 dollars.
