CUMMING, Ga. – Residents and visitors lined Market Place Boulevard in anticipation of a traditional holiday joy with family and friends.
December kicked off with Christmas joy as the holiday spirit flowed during the seventh annual Christmas Parade in Cumming. Children were found on the sidelines eager to catch candy and a sneak peek of Santa Claus, Dec. 1.
“Our family has been coming to the parade for five years now,” said Lorie Hoyt, a Cumming resident. “It’s definitely a family tradition for us.”
After the parade, the Christmas celebrations continued at Northside Hospital-Forsyth. There were opportunities for pictures with Santa, the annual Christmas tree lighting and a fireworks show.
Whether residents have lived in Forsyth County for years or are new to the community, the Market Place Christmas Parade quickly becomes a family tradition for all.
