'Cue restaurant burglar in custody

Samuel L. Mosley previously convicted of burglary, had multiple warrants

MILTON, GA. - Milton police have arrested a 60-year-old Atlanta man suspected of burglarizing the 'Cue barbecue restaurant in Milton Sept. 26, ending a months-long manhunt for the suspected career criminal.

Samuel L. Mosley, a convicted burglar, allegedly broke into the restaurant through the back door using a crowbar at around 7 a.m. According to surveillance footage provided by the restaurant, Mosley then rummaged through the bar and made his way to the back office, where he broke into a safe and stole $1,100.

He left just minutes before the first employee showed up for work.

Mosley left Telfair State Prison in late March - one of four stints dating back to 1989 - after serving eight years for a 2003 burglary in Whitfield County.

The parolee has outstanding warrants for his arrest in Lake City and Cherokee County and is suspected of similar crimes in Forsyth and Cobb counties. They date back to April, meaning he could have gone back to crime almost immediately after leaving jail two years early.

At the time of his arrest, Mosley allegedly was in possession of a 9mm handgun.

He is now in Fulton County jail without bond.
