Crabapple ride helps Cystic Fibrosis

MILTON, Ga. – Historic Crabapple will host a benefit ride June 9 for Cystic Fibrosis.

Starting in front of the Alpharetta Government Building at 8 a.m., the 40-mile ride will traverse Milton and Cherokee County to raise awareness for Cystic Fibrosis and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF). It is also a training ride for the upcoming Cystic Fibrosis Cycle for Life ride.

“We are excited to partner with the Crabapple Community Association,” said Linda Murphy, development director for the CFF. “This is such a wonderful thing to do.”

Members of the CCA will be volunteers for the event. Cannon Cycling will provide support and gear for the riders.

The event is free, but registration is recommended. Cystic Fibrosis Foundation representatives will be available to sign up all interested for the Cycle for Life ride that will be held Nov. 9 in Serenbe, Ga. This event frequently has more than 300 riders sign up. This year, organizers are hoping for 400.

Riders must be age 18 and above.
