Cornerstone School actors put twist on classic tale of ‘Cinderella’

CUMMING, Ga. – The Cornerstone School drama club in Cumming recently performed two fractured fairy tales based on the classic tale of “Cinderella.”

The first performance, “Spiderella,” portrayed Cinderella from a bug’s world. These charming characters acted and danced their way through the rainforest and concluded with a happy bug ending, Spiderella and the Cicada Prince.

“Bubba the Cowboy Prince,” written by Helen Ketteman, took a real Texan twist of Cinderella. This western setting used real cowboys and even a fairy god cow. Music and dancing were a part of this upbeat play, including a real line dance.
