ALPHARETTA -- Children’s Pride, an Alpharetta-based children’s organization, delivered live Christmas trees over the Thanksgiving weekend to several local families in need, an elder care assisted living center and a children’s pediatric facility.
“Smiles were brought to everyone’s face who received a tree, from young to old. We at Children’s Pride believe that every family should have a Christmas tree in their home for the holiday season,” said Monique Evans, founder and president of Children’s Pride.
Special thanks go to Lowe’s for partnering with us on our “Donate-A-Tree” for the holiday program, she said.
Children’s Pride works to enrich the lives of children, single parents and needy families by providing assistance in the form of clothing items, personal care and baby products.
It provides school supplies and food to those who are in need. The organization also exposes youth to cultural events, and motivates and encourages youngsters and teens to stay in school and continue their education beyond the high school level.
