MILTON, Ga. – On a cloudy Saturday evening in April at Shannondale Farms in Milton, Children’s Charities hosted the Denim and Diamonds Benefit. The event featured a Harry’s Farmers Market chef competition, Diamond Drop with Atlanta Diamond Designs, cocktails by Grey Goose, music with Mid Life Crisis and a silent auction. Over 350 people attended the event in all of their cowboy chic.
“This event is all about giving back to our community in a casual but creative way,” said Amanda White, co-founder Children’s Charities, Inc. “What better reason to have an amazing event than to support such a great cause as autism awareness and diagnosis through the state-of-the-art eye tracking device developed by the Marcus Autism Center. Children’s Charities chooses a different aspect of Children’s Healthcare each year to fundraise for. Autism and the correct diagnosis are crucial in the lives of these children. Early detection can lead to more appropriate therapies and treatments that have a profound effect on the child’s life. Our mission and passion is to help these children.”
