Chattahoochee High School basketball seniors honored at Naismith Banquet

JOHNS CREEK, Ga. – Chattahoochee High School basketball seniors Markus Terry and Cassidy Gaillard were honored March 19 at this year’s Atlanta Tip-Off Club Naismith Awards Banquet.

Terry was named to the Jackie Bradford All-Metro Team, First Team honors. Terry set all-time scoring records in his four years as a varsity player. He also set the single-game scoring record of 43 points this season and ended his career as Chattahoochee’s all-time leading scorer with 1,926 points.

Gaillard was selected as a Naismith Awards Flourish Scholarship winner. To be eligible, high school seniors in the Atlanta region must display strong leadership and community engagement skills and demonstrate the ability to “flourish” on the court, in the classroom and in life.

The five male and five female student-athletes who were selected for this honor will receive a $1,000 scholarship. They were nominated by their coaches and completed an application and multi-interview process.
