Car break-ins at Windermere Park



CUMMING, Ga. — Someone broke into two cars parked at Windermere park and stole about $500 worth of valuables, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff’s incident report.

On May 28, two victims at the park, 3355 Windermere Parkway, called deputies after they found their car windows smashed and items such as purses, wallets and GPS’s missing.

One victim with a black 2006 Ford Expedition had about $300 stolen and the other victim with a silver 2006 Jeep Commander had about $200 stolen.

Deputies said bystanders heard a car alarm go off at about 8:30 p.m. and 8:45 p.m., but no suspicious persons were found in the area around that time.
