Cadets from Roswell and Johns Creek graduate ROTC leader training



FORT KNOX, Ky. – Two local students have graduated from the Army ROTC (Reserve Officers’ Training Corps) Leader’s Training Course at Fort Knox, Ky. The four-week course is a leadership internship for cadets that can lead to the ultimate goal of becoming an Army officer. Cadets receive training in fundamental military skills, Army values, ethics, Warrior ethos, basic rifle marksmanship, small arms tactics, weapons training, combat water survival training, rappelling, land navigation and squad-level operations field training.

Glenn D. Campanella is a student at the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Miss. He is the son of Elizabeth Campanella and a 2002 graduate of Centennial High School in Roswell.

Army Cadet Lucas L. Cioffi is a student at the University of Georgia. He is the son of Kathy and Ron Cioffi of Johns Creek and a 2009 graduate from Chattahoochee High School in Johns Creek.
