Business Showcase a network opportunity in Forsyth County

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — The Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce held their annual Business Showcase on Feb. 20. About 62 businesses were showcased at the event, which took place at the Forsyth Conference Center, 3410 Ronald Reagan Boulevard in Cumming. “Many Chamber members gave positive feedback feeling like the event was a great balance between our Business Expo and our monthly Business After Hours events,” said Laura Stewart, a chamber spokeswoman. Businesses networked, display their services and learned about other local businesses. Joy Riddle, retail banking manager at Community & Southern Bank on Market Place Boulevard, said she and her staff enjoy coming to the event because it’s a great opportunity to network. “It’s always good to be out and get your name out,” added Lorainne Clark, a branch sales manager at Community & Southern Bank. “And to promote our free checking.” U.S. Rep. Rob Woodall visited with the small business owners at the showcase and praised them for creating local jobs. “I wish everybody in Washington could see what a real community looks like, it’s in these people running these tables,” Woodall said. “These folks create jobs; it’s not easy there’s a lot of blood, sweat and hours and these are the folks who get it done.”
