Building strong families that foster good character: 11 Things Parents Can Do



Dr. Thomas Lickona, a psychologist-educator, director of the Center for the 4th and 5th Rs (Respect and Responsibility) at State University of New York Cortland, and author of eight books, will visit the Pinecrest Academy campus to present Building Strong Families That Foster Good Character: 11 Things Parents Can Do on Monday, October 14, at 7 p.m., in the Lower School Dining Hall, 955 Peachtree Parkway in Cumming,

Lickona will describe 11 practical ways parents can foster good character in everyday family life and will discuss the 10 essential virtues in building strong character –wisdom, justice, fortitude, self-control, love, positive attitude, hard work, integrity, gratitude and humility. Open to all parents and free of charge. Lickona’s book, Raising Good Children, will be available after the talk at a discounted price of $15.
