British car show coming to downtown Alpharetta Feb. 23

ALPHARETTA, Ga. – A friendly gathering of British cars will be in downtown Alpharetta on Saturday, Feb. 23 from 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. for the Great British Car Fayre.

Visitors can come and enjoy family fun, food and British cars of all shapes and sizes at this free family event. Among the sights is the original white Lotus Esprit driven by Roger Moore’s James Bond in the movie, “The Spy Who Loved Me,” the second oldest E-Type Jaguar in existence and the original Lotus Esprit given to Mario Andretti for winning the Daytona 500. Other iconic automobiles to be on the lookout for include Rolls Royce, Aston Martin, Jaguar, MG, Lotus, Morgan, Triumph, Peeler, Sunbeam, Land Rover, Mini Cooper and DeLorean.

And what would a Great British Car Fayre be without some British music? Abbey Road Live, a Beatles tribute band, will rock the stage from 5–7 p.m. performing favorite tunes from all eras of the Fab Four’s career.

“The Alpharetta CVB is proud to be a sponsor of the city’s first Great British Car Fayre and the Beatles tribute band, which will be held in downtown Alpharetta on Milton Avenue,” said Janet Rodgers, president and CEO of the Alpharetta Convention and Visitors Bureau. “We hope the event will capture the attention of those who are thinking about traveling to Alpharetta.”
