Later that evening, March 10, several people reported a suspicious man running down Holcomb Bridge Road, near Horseshoe Bend. When police found Roy Travis Ruis, 41, of Doraville, they spoke with him. He initially gave them a false name. He then admitted to giving a false name because he had warrants for his arrest out of Gwinnett and Hart counties for possession of amphetamines and probation violation, respectively.
Ruis was arrested for giving a false name to officers, fleeing, reckless driving, passing in a no passing zone, driving without taillights and driving with a suspended license.
