MILTON, Ga. – Better Together and the Milton Love Project will team up April 21 to bring hand-painted, wooden hearts to some of the city’s most deserving residents in a fun and creative way.
This community event will take place at Just For Giggles from 2 to 3 p.m. at 12635 Crabapple Road in downtown Crabapple.
Milton resident Patti Silva, creator of the Milton Love Project, will be on hand to explain the project’s history. Then, she’ will help participants make their own wooden hearts for neighbors who need a bit of love and encouragement.
“The Milton Love Project is a grassroots, citizen-led initiative spreading love and support – precisely the kind of thing Better Together encourages,” said Wayne Boston, the city’s community builder and head of the volunteer group. “For several years, Patti and her friends have been secretly planting these hearts and bridging community members.”
Boston said Better Together, a city-sponsored volunteer group dedicated to building a welcoming community in Milton, specifically looks to partner with organizations like the Milton Love Project to establish new connections between residents.
“Come on out and be a part of this great secret tradition – or just join us to plan your own random act of kindness,” he said.
