I’ve always heard people say, “count your blessings.”
But the other day it really hit me.
Yes, I should count my blessings.
Sometimes I don’t feel so lucky or have a strong sense of gratitude, love or appreciation. I feel I don’t have enough or I’m not able to recognize the beauty in life.
So why am I not counting my blessings?
There’s even a scientific study that suggests people who count their blessings are generally happier and healthier than those who don’t.
As the Thanksgiving Day Holiday is being celebrated in the U.S. on Nov. 22 this year, I want to remember to be aware of the day’s meaning.
I want to audit the things big and small that make my life good.
I will celebrate the things that bring joy, happiness, satisfaction, optimism and other positive emotions into my life.
And I will be thankful.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
