Baron’s new e-book set in Roswell

Author puts action on Canton Street

ROSWELL, Ga. – Just in time for that last summer read on the beach is Roswell author Marilyn Baron’s new e-book, “Dead Mix.” Her fourth e-book with TWB Press is a paranormal short story, and this time it is set in Roswell.

When the devil goes down to Georgia, he apparently is right through the doors of a Canton Street music store, somewhat ominously called The Devil’s Den.

“It is a darker story than my other three published by TWB,” said Baron.

In “Dead Mix – Music to Die For,” the devil goes down to Georgia – Roswell, Ga., and more specifically, The Lion’s Den music store. Enter at your own risk. It seems several people have disappeared in the city, and the last place anyone had seen them was in this music store.

“My first three short stories were part of my Angel Trilogy. But while this story is in a different vein, all my books have humor and romance,” she said. “Like all my books, ‘Dead Mix’ also has supernatural element.”

Baron set her story in Roswell because it is a place she knows well. While most of the places she describes are fictitious, it is not hard to see where she got her inspiration.

“The hero comes from California and thinks this is just a hick Southern town. But he gets to know the people and one girl in particular. They work together to solve the mystery of where these people disappeared,” Baron said.

Baron said she couldn’t say how long it took her to write the 10,000-word short story, because she had several projects going at once.

“I was also writing a play and another short story. So I couldn’t say exactly. But the idea just came to me, and I started to flesh out the characters,” Baron said. “This is a story that deals with redemption.”

Baron’s books are short, but they are well plotted and move at a fast pace. And of course, they are only $1.99 at or Barnes and Noble Nook; or go to
