‘Arts on the Creek’ juried art show takes place Aug. 30



JOHNS CREEK, Ga. — The “Arts on the Creek” juried art show at the Johns Creek Arts Center is scheduled to take place Thursday, Aug. 30.

A reception will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with light refreshments and drinks to enjoy while perusing the talented artwork on show.

The “Arts on the Creek” juried show will include painting, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, collage, photography and decorative and functional pottery.

There will be a first place cash award of $500 for each of the following categories: painting, drawing, photography and ceramics.

Visual arts pieces will be juried by artists Patrick Taylor and Bob Ichter.

The photographic arts judge is artist Debra Yaun, and the ceramics category winner will be chosen by A.J. Argentina.
