DENVER — Appen Media Group did it again. This time, nearly doubling last year’s haul at the annual Association of Free Community Papers (AFCP) held in Denver April 25-27.
The event titled “Reaching New Heights” annually recognizes the “Best of the Best” throughout all aspects of the free paper industry. Members competed in over 40 separate categories including graphics, editorial, design and innovation.
Appen Media Group won six first-place awards, including general excellence, ad series design, original color photography, single advertisement, most improved publication and self-promotion.
In addition, Appen Media won one second and four third-place awards, including one for column that educates the reader. Last year, Appen Media Group won six awards and two first places.
