Alpharetta to host public safety academy for citizens



ALPHARETTA, Ga. – This January, Alpharetta will kick off its Citizens Academy for the sixth year running.

This free course gives residents the ability to learn what Alpharetta police officers, firefighters and 911 operators do every day to protect and serve the community, from fire safety to DUI taskforce and 911 communications.

The classes begin Jan. 29 and run through May 3, meeting every Wednesday night and some Saturday mornings.
