Alpharetta celebrates 20 years of Cubs at Wills Park



ALPHARETTA, Ga. – A week after sightings of a bear cub in Alpharetta generated concern and amusement, the city celebrated its partnership with a different kind of cub.

Almost 400 scouts turned out for the week-long Cub Camp at the Wills Park Equestrian Center the week of June 3 to take part in sports and events ranging from archery to kickball.

The Cub Scouts celebrated 20 years of partnership with Wills Park June 6, with Mayor David Belle Isle and Council member Chris Owens honoring the group and the partnership. After the ceremony, family members of the scouts watched as the boys performed skits.
