Alpharetta Rotary honors Independence Interact Club

ALPHARETTA, Ga. — Officers of the Independence High School Interact Club were invited to a weekly breakfast on Nov. 8 to meet with the Alpharetta Rotary Club to learn the results of the Distracted Driving Pledge Campaign contest. Earlier this fall, members of Interact collected signatures from students, faculty members, friends and family on a pledge indicating their commitment not to use the phone to talk or text while driving. For the second consecutive year, the IHS Interact Club earned first place in the contest by recording the highest percentage of signatures based on school enrollment. Along with this recognition, the students earned $300 from the Alpharetta Rotary to be used for future service projects.
