ALPHARETTA, Ga. — Most people tend to be quite optimistic about their futures, but it seems that the coaches at Alpharetta High School have good reason to be.
“We are a very experienced team, with seven starters returning,” said Scott Cole, coach of the softball team, who then added that even “our freshman pitcher, Cameron Stanford, has gotten off to a great start, surrendering one earned run in two high school starts.”
Dave Melissas, one of the cross country coaches at AHS, had good things to say about his teams as well.
“The boys are the defending region champions,” he said, “and they are led by senior Ryan Shea, who finished third in the region last year.”
He had a similarly optimistic outlook for the future of the girls’ cross country team as well.
