MILTON, Ga. – Milton Grows Green recently launched an Adopt-a-Stream program, and the first meeting to discuss its goals and techniques will be held Wednesday, Oct. 23 starting at 6:30 p.m.
This kick-off meeting will take place at Milton’s City Hall, 13000 Deerfield Parkway, Suite 107. For those who want to become certified in water-quality testing, please plan to stay until 9 p.m.
There is no charge for the training.
A statewide project of the Georgia Environmental Protection Division, the Adopt-a-Stream program aims to educate residents about water quality issues and provide training in the evaluation and protection of local waterways.
This program is open to Milton residents looking for training on how to monitor local streams using techniques and test kits provided by Fulton County.
