FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — On May 24 about 1 p.m., Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an address on Claude Martin Drive, Gainesville, in response to a 22-month-old male that had been struck by a Chevrolet Trailblazer sports utility vehicle.

The child was stuck by the rear bumper and then ran over with the back tire.
The father and mother of the child picked him up from underneath the SUV and drove him to Forsyth County Fire Station No.9, where firefighters called a helicopter to their location.
The child was then transported by Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Critical Care Helicopter to Egleston Hospital, where he was treated by the critical care team.
The child is in stable condition and expected to recover from his injuries.
