There is another story that was published, about a driver with a latino last name. He was arrested for allegedly having alcohol and other controlled substances in a commercial vehicle.

What I find disappointing is that a reader commented on THAT story that the name was not only a correlation, but causal to his behavior.

The above story is nearly the same circumstance, but absent a latino surname, the object of the frustrations seems less specific.

For me, it serves to remind that bias in the media should not surprise anyone, since bias exists in the minds of all. It's a personal challenge that we choose to take on, or not.
