School Employees Pension Board Change
February 05, 2013 | 10:34 AM Ms. Waylock, Thank you, for the informative article, as I am a member of the pension fund I wonder why auditors did not catch the overpayment much earlier. Also if the legislature approves the Board of Education's bill which appears to say that the Board has "...full authority for interpreting and implementing the plan." and "...to repeal conflicting laws;" passes, does this mean the legislation will exempt the Board from all other State pension laws? It would be nice to see the legislation state "... to repeal conflicting laws regarding governance, as allowed by State and Federal laws." Again, thank you, for the excellent article.
