Community of Christ Church helps pet soup kitchen

MILTON, Ga. – Like pets? The Community of Christ Church along with Canine Assistants and Daffy’s Pet Soup Kitchen will have a community pet day Nov. 3 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Francis Road church.

Daffy’s Pet Soup Kitchen is an all-volunteer, not-for-profit, 501(c)3 tax exempt organization dedicated to helping pets stay in their homes when their families fall on difficult times. We supply pet food to people who are struggling financially and would otherwise have to give up their dogs or cats. By doing this, we keep pets out of shelters or abandoned in the streets, thereby decreasing the euthanasia rate of animal-control facilities, lowering the tax burden on citizens whose tax dollars fund county-run animal control facilities and giving other shelter animals a longer period of time in which to find their forever homes.

Two local rescue groups, Ruff Rescue (dogs and cats) and Life’s Little Paws Cocker Spaniel Rescue, will be on site with information regarding their animals.

The community is invited to bring pet supplies for Daffy’s Pet Soup Kitchen. The event is at Community of Christ Church, 3315 Francis Road in Alpharetta.
