ROSWELL, Ga. – Mayor Jere Wood will be hosting his annual barbecue on Saturday, Oct. 6, at Miss Tillie’s Cabin, 10850 Stroup Road, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Every year, the proceeds of this event go to a different charity. This year, the barbecue will benefit Homestretch, an organization that provides working families with housing and education on stability techniques to get them back on their feet. Rose Burton, executive director of Homestretch, thanked Wood for choosing Homestretch this year.
“This event has a stellar reputation for being both fun and helpful. The proceeds from the barbecue will be going toward new housing for families so we can expand our capacity and provide for more families,” said Burton.
Tickets are $25 and include barbecue catered by local favorites, a wide variety of drinks, raffles, a boots contest and more.
