NORTH FULTON, Ga. – The latest Eagle Scouts of the Chattahoochee District who completed their Boards of Review for the rank of Eagle Scout May 23 have been inducted by district examiners.

They are:

• Jared Hilton Kelly, Troop 40, Roswell Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

• Nicholas Michael Martino, Troop 356, Fellowship Christian School

• Gavin Russell Hayes, Troop 1134, St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church

• Cole Delford Czajkoski, Troop 1134, St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church

• Brandon Roger Jern, Troop 1134, St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church

Kelly’s Eagle project was at the baseball fields at Roswell Park where a team Kelly led refurbished bleachers. Split, warped and rotting boards were becoming unsafe. Spectators can now watch the games without fear of splinters or worse.

Martino took on a project at Fellowship Christian School. The trash dumpster in front of the building was an eyesore and detracted from the aesthetics of the school. Martino led a team to build a 34-foot fence to block the dumpster from view. His team also added landscaping and pavers to further enhance the area.

Hayes and his crew fitted the outdoor chapel at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School with pews. Hayes planned and led the construction of six benches to complete the worship area.

In his Eagle service project, Czajkoski designed benches and then led a group of Scouts to create a sitting area for the special needs kids at Sweet Apple North Metro. The area is adjacent to the playground and can be used by teachers, parents or children.

Jern installed a flagpole at the Drake House, a nonprofit group providing shelter and a program to get homeless mothers with children back on their feet and working again.

Along with the flagpole, Jern installed 24-hour lighting provided by a solar charging system.
