CUMMING, Ga. — Someone broke into a woman’s car and stole her purse while she and her family were at Shirdi Sai Temple for prayers, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff’s incident report.

On May 2, a woman left her purse in her car when she arrived at the North America Shirdi Sai Temple, 700 James Burgess Road, and secured her car before entering the temple.

After returning from prayers, the woman said her window was open.

She drove to her home in Marietta before she noticed her purse missing.

She drove back to look for her purse and called the police when she could not find it.

Deputies investigated the woman’s car and saw that the keyhole on the front driver side door was damaged. The woman left her wallet inside her purse, which contained four credit cards, three gift cards, a library card, insurance card and her Georgia driver’s license.
