FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — Forsyth County residents will have the opportunity to recycle their old, unused electronics during the upcoming electronics recycling event hosted by Keep Forsyth County Beautiful (KFCB).

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 4 in the Cumming Fairgrounds’ parking lot off Castleberry Road.

Accepted items for recycling include laptops, stereos, CD players, cell phones, microwaves and cameras.

The minimum donation per carload drop off is $5 while an additional $10 fee will apply for each television.

“We always have such an amazing response from the community for our electronics recycling events,” said Tammy Wright, environmental program manager.

“By taking the time to recycle their unused electronics, residents can make a positive impact on the environment while removing clutter from their homes.”

Some items, such as large wooden console televisions, projector televisions, toaster ovens and refrigerators, will not be accepted during the event.
