Natureís calling Milton residents

MILTON, Ga. ó A local expert on the environment is to hold two free open houses regarding information on preservation of wildlife.

Jerry Hightower, park ranger, naturalist and educator, will host these meetings at 7 p.m. on March 20 and 28 in City Council Chambers at Milton's City Hall, 13000 Deerfield Parkway, Suite 107-E.

During the first meeting, Hightower will discuss gardening to ensure proper habitats for wildlife.

At the second meeting, heíll explain creating ponds, pools and pergolas to beautify gardens.

Hightower will also lead gardening workshops and provide community education on nature.

Altogether, these open houses will relate gardening tips and creating water features as well as other garden structures.

These programs are sponsored by Miltonís National Wildlife Federation (NWF) Community Wildlife Habitat Certification Project.
