Alcohol, pills, candy machine stolen from home in Cumming, Ga.

CUMMING, Ga. — A thief with a sweet tooth took several items from a man’s home, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff’s incident report.

At 6 p.m. Feb. 2, a man in the 6600 block of Overton Circle told deputies when he arrived home all the bedrooms in his home were ransacked.

A white lockbox containing $700 in cash and two bottles of pain pills were missing, as well as a jewelry box containing three diamond rings and a gold bracelet. The thief also took five compartment candy machines from the victim’s grandson’s room.

The victim also found a two liter of soda and a bottle of Crown Royal liquor was missing from his refrigerator.

Other rooms in the home appeared untouched, and there were many valuable items not taken.

The stolen items were valued at $5,800.
