JOHNS CREEK, Ga. - Johns Creek Police Chief Ed Densmore confirmed Feb. 5 that the deaths of four individuals yesterday at Johns Creek’s Aylesbury Farms apartment complex were indeed the result of a murder-suicide.

First expressing condolences over the tragic loss of the Grover family, Densmore continued his news conference with acknowledging that the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Officer had just confirmed the JCPD’s initial investigation findings:

- Shivinder Singh Grover, age 52, died from suicide by hanging himself;

- his wife, Damanjit “Daisy” Kaur Grover, age 47, died from homicide - blunt force injuries to her head

- their son Sartajj Singh Grover, age 12, died from homicide- sharp force injuries to the neck

- their son Gertej Singh Grover, age 5, died from homicide – sharp force injuries to the neck

“We still have an active crime scene,” said Densmore, who did not comment on any motive. “We will be able to hopefully provide more specific details once we get blood samples and DNA testing back from the crime lab and as we learn more from our ongoing investigation.”

Police were first called to the Grover’s apartment around 11:30 a.m. yesterday, Monday, Feb. 4, after Ms. Grover did not arrive at her work and a colleague asked for a welfare check. The responding officers found all four individuals dead inside the apartment.
