Cogburn Woods to host Chinese New Year auction

MILTON, Ga. – Cogburn Woods will celebrate the Chinese New Year Feb. 22 with a fundraising gala to raise money for educational technology in the classrooms.

The event is hosted by the Cogburn Woods Educational Foundation, a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to advance the education of all Cogburn Woods Elementary students by providing financial resources to enhance technology, facilities and curriculum programs.

The inaugural “Chinese New Year Auction” fundraising gala will be held Friday, Feb. 22 at the Metropolitan Club in Alpharetta. Proceeds will be used to enhance technology in Cogburn Woods classrooms.

Admission is $65 per person if paid before Feb. 1, and $75 per person after. Included in the admission price are a cocktail reception and silent auction, followed by dinner and the New Year auction. The evening closes with a short live auction featuring sports memorabilia, including an autographed 2011 World Series baseball, autographed football from Alabama coach Nick Saban and a signed football from UGA coach Mark Richt.
