Christmas cards moved from boxes in Cumming

December 18, 2012

CUMMING, Ga. — Someone tampered with several mailboxes in the Highlands neighborhood, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff’s incident report.

At about 11 p.m. Dec. 9, a man in the 1800 block of Poplar Ridge Place told deputies when he checked his mailbox he found two pieces of open mail that were addressed to other homes in the neighborhood. The man was not able to tell if any of his own mail was stolen.

Deputies returned the mail to the proper homes. Residents said the returned items were Christmas cards and wouldn’t have contained anything of value.

The residents were unable to tell if any other mail had been stolen from the boxes.
