Thief enters car in Cumming, leaves personal phone

CUMMING, Ga. ó A thief stole several electronics and gaming equipment from a manís car, but he may have left his phone behind.

About 7:50 p.m. on Nov. 9, a man told officers someone entered his car while he was inside Taco Mac, 2775 Market Place Boulevard. The thief stole his laptop, mouse, backpack, gym bag, Xbox 360 and Halo 4 video game. The items are valued at $1,897.

The victim told officers he locked his car and covered the items with a jacket to conceal them.

Officers searched the car for evidence and found a LG Tracfone in between the driverís seat and console. The victim said the phone didnít belong to him, nor did he know whose it could be.

Officers tried to track the number on the phone but were not able to connect any leads.
