Car entered in Cumming while man fished

CUMMING, Ga. — A thief stole more than $1,000 from a man’s car while he was fishing, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office incident report.

Between 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Nov. 16 a man told deputies someone stole his wallet, keys, clothes and cell phone from his 1998 Honda Civic while he fished at the Chattahoochee River Club, 2 Trout Place Road.

The victim said he left everything in his car except for the key to lock the car doors. When he returned from fishing, he saw the driver-side window was shattered.

The missing items were valued at $1,336.
