FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — A Forsyth County man was killed after he struck a tractor-trailer on Ga. Hwy. 369 in west Forsyth County.

Peter Trione, 43, of Cumming, was pronounced dead at the scene.

About 7:30 a.m. Nov. 16, Trione was driving a 2007 black Ford F150 truck and was heading eastbound on Hwy. 369 near the intersection of Hubert Martin Road when he left the roadway for an unknown reason, said Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Specialist Investigator Ron Tomblin.

When he came back onto the roadway, he went across the road into the westbound lane and was struck by a tractor-trailer on the passenger side of the Ford truck.

Trione’s truck was then pushed down the roadway and into the driveway of a home in the 4400 block of Matt Highway. The tractor-trailer crossed back over the road and came to rest in a pasture.

The tractor-trailer, owned by Mountain Milk of Gainesville, Ga., normally transports chickens. However, the tractor-trailer was not loaded with live chickens, only the chicken cages.

The tractor-trailer driver was identified as Troy Lee Emanuel, 52, of Dahlonega.

He was transported to Northside Hospital-Forsyth with minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
