Engagement ring lifted from car in Cumming

CUMMING, Ga. — A thief stole a woman’s engagement ring from her car, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff’s incident report.

A woman in the 2900 block of Buford Highway told deputies at 10 a.m. on Oct. 31, she looked outside her home’s window and saw the driver’s door to her 2007 Hyundai Tiburon open.

The victim went to investigate and found the face of her car stereo and a makeup bag containing her 1.5 carat engagement ring were missing. The face of the car stereo was found at the side of the victim’s property, but the ring is still unaccounted for.

The ring is valued at $5,000.
