Leon Jackson Johnson, of Cumming, GA, age 77, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2013. Leon loved God, family, friends and the great outdoors. He was also a lifelong member of Cumming Second Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his, parents, Hoyt and Oria Johnson; sisters, Gladys Boling, Betty Webb and brother, Calvin Johnson.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Chumbler Johnson; children, Terry Johnson, Jeffrey and Cindy Johnson, Gary and Tammy Johnson, Sherry and Mike Tallant, Karen and Shane Mott, Kenny Johnson and fiancé, Christie Hill; brother, Jarrell Johnson, brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Janice Johnson; grandchildren, Jacob Johnson, Julie and Corey Edwards, Jeremy Johnson, Mathew Johnson, Jessica Johnson, Dalton Ledbetter, Ashley Mott, Austin Ledbetter, Carly Mott, Kaelyn Hill, Trey Hill; great grandchild, Mason Edwards and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Cumming Second Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Elzey, Rev. Jerry Orr and Rev. Eddie Cain officiating. Interment will follow at Coal Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 1 to 9, Tuesday from 9 to 9 and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
