Ann Echols, of Cumming
Died: Wednesday, October 28, 2009
Age: 77

Ann Echols of Cumming, GA, formerly of Atlanta, GA, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 from complications of back surgery. Ann was born on July 14, 1932 in Atlanta, GA. She attended North Fulton High School and graduated in1950. During her time in high school, she met her future husband and BEST friend for life, Ted Echols. They were inseparable and were married for 58 years.



Ann (Meme) Loved her Family! She was one of nine children and always took great pride in her brothers & sisters. She adored her parents so much, that she gave them the credit as to why she was such a good parent. Ann's greatest joy in life was being a wonderful wife and a very caring and nurturing mother. Not only was she someone you could talk to, count on and depend upon, but she made your soul feel better. Ann worked several years for Sears department store and later went on to work for Woodward Academy - North Campus where she would retired in 2004.



Ann is survived by her son, Randy Echols (Belinda), Lynn Brown (Bruce) and her three grandchildren, Kristy Brown, Kerry Brown and Tess Echols; brothers, William Carlton Rary (Marion), James Benjamin Rary (Lyn); sisters, Doris Raford Landon, Frances Marie Bethea, Carole Burnette McCravy, Barbara Mae Gates (Vandy); a host of nieces, nephews and tons of loving friends.



She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Echols; her Father, Homer Ottis Rary; mother, Elzie Florene Burnette Rary; brother, Homer Ottis Rary, Jr.; sister, Evelyn Rebecca Jarvis.



"Mother, until we see you again, you will be so dearly missed; but it gives us great comfort in knowing that you are now reunited with Ted." Love you Forever!



Memorial Services will be held Sunday, November 1, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Johns Creek Baptist Church - 6910 McGinnis Ferry Rd., Alpharetta, GA 30005. In lieu of Flowers, the family has asked to make Donations to "Faith For Future Generations" c/o Johns Creek Baptist Church.
