CITY OF ALPHARETTA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING


The following items will be heard at a public hearing held by the Planning Commission on Thursday, June 6, 2013 commencing at 7:30 p.m. in the Alpharetta City Hall Council Chambers, 2 South Main Street, Alpharetta, Georgia. A Planning Commission workshop will be held prior to the meeting at 6:30 p.m.

Items forwarded by the Planning Commission will be considered by the City Council on Monday, June 24, 2013 commencing at 7:30 p.m. in the Alpharetta City Hall Council Chambers, 2 South Main Street, Alpharetta, Georgia.

MP-13-01/CLUP-13-05/Z-13-03 Preston Ridge/Greenstone Properties
Consideration of a request to change the Preston Ridge Master Plan by adding “for-sale” residential use (attached and detached)to Pod G. A request to rezone from O-I to CUP is requested as well as a change to the Future Land Use Plan from “Corporate Campus Office” to “High Density Residential”. The property is located at the northwest corner of Webb Bridge and Morris Road adjacent to Georgia 400. The property is legally described as being located in Land Lots 1259, 1262, 1263, 2nd District, 2nd Section, Fulton County, Georgia.

Z-13-07/CLUP-13-06/V-13-04 Kimball Bridge Walk
Consideration of a request to rezone approximately 8 acres from R-8A and AG to CUP in order to allow “for-sale” detached single family homes on lots with a minimum size of 5,000 SF. The current R-8A only permits attached housing, and detached is requested. A change to the Comprehensive Land Use Plan from “Corporate Campus Office” to “High Density Residential” is requested and a variance to the CUP mininmum acreage and mix of use requirements. The property is located on the west side of Kimball Bridge Road and legally described as being located in Land Lot 801, 1st District, 2nd Section, Fulton County, Georgia.

Z-13-09/CLUP-13-08/V-13-06 Broadwell Road II
Consideration of a request to rezone approximately 11 acres from AG to R-15 in order to develop 18 single family homes. A request to change the Comprehensive Land Use Plan from “Very Low Density Residential” to “Low Density Residential” is also requested as well as a variance to the front setbacks from 35’ to 25’. The property is located at 12285 and 12275 Broadwell Road and 800 Old Rucker Road, and legally described as being located in Land Lot 1242, 1243, 2nd District, 2nd Section, Fulton County, Georgia.

CU-13-06 North Main Animal Hospital
Consideration of a conditional use for an animal hospital to be located at 562 N. Main Street. The property is legally described as being located in Land Lot 1124, 2nd District, 2nd Section, Fulton County, Georgia.

PH-13-03 Unified Development Code
Consideration of amendments to the Unified Development Code in order to establish and limit uses permitted within the first floor of buildings located in the Historic Business District. Other technical corrections throughout the document such as references to the “Director” will also be proposed.
