Items forwarded by the Planning Commission will be considered by the City Council on Monday, November 26, 2012 commencing at 7:30 p.m. in the Alpharetta City Hall Council Chambers, 2 South Main Street, Alpharetta, Georgia.
a. Z-12-06/CLUP-12-05/V-12-22 Cogburn Residential Plan
Consideration of a request to rezone approximately 9 acres from AG to CUP in order to allow approximately 23 for- sale single family homes. A request to amend the Comprehensive Land Use Plan from “Low Density Residential” to “Medium Density Residential” is also requested. The CUP zoning will also require variances to the minimum acreage required. A variance to allow the storm water detention and water quality to be located partially within the Alpharetta buffer and buffer setback is requested and a variance to allow an eyebrow cul de sac to have a 40’ radius is requested. The property is located at 12905 and 12955 Coburn Road on the southeast side of Cogburn and legally described as being located in Land Lots 1050,1111, 2nd District, 2nd Section, Fulton County, Georgia.
b. Z-12-04/CLUP-12-08/V-12-20 Sharp Residential/Johnson Tract
Consideration of a request to rezone approximately 22 acres from AG to R-15 in order to develop a for-sale residential subdivision with 36 lots. The applicant is also requesting a change to the Comprehensive Land Use Plan from “Very Low Density Residential” to “Low Density Residential” for a portion of the property approximately 3 acres in size. The property is located on the west side of Mayfield Road north of Colony Drive and legally described as being located in Land Lots 1104, 1128, and 1129, 2nd District, 2nd Section, Fulton County, Georgia.
c. Z-12-05/V-12-21/CLUP-12-06 Sharp Residential/Bates Road
Consideration of rezoning approximately 57 acres on the north and south side of Bates Road from AG to R-15 for the purpose of developing single family “for sale” dwellings on minimum lot sizes of 15,000 square feet. The applicant also requests to change the Comprehensive Land Use Plan from “Very Low Density” residential to “Low Density” residential. A variance to not require curb and gutter along Bates Road is requested. A variance is also requested from the required front setback in order to permit a 35’ front setback along Bates Road. The property is located on the north and south side of Bates Road and legally described as being located in Land Lots 1105, 1106, 1128 and 1129, 2nd District, 2nd Section, Fulton County, Georgia.
