CUMMING, Ga. — A woman found three boxes of women's clothes totaling $4,112 sitting on her doorstep, but she never ordered them, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff's incident report.

The woman told deputies that FedEx delivered the expensive clothes at about 10:30 a.m. Dec. 12, but she never ordered them.

Her sister told her she recently gave the address to a man she met on an online dating service. He said he wanted to send information about an envelope-stuffing job she could do from home.

The woman contacted the company to have the items returned.

The company said the items were ordered by a woman named Janet and the credit card used belonged to a woman named Connie.

Shortly after getting off the phone with the company, the woman said she started receiving calls from a man with a "heavy middle-eastern accent."

He said he was sending someone to pick up the boxes either that day or the following morning.

She said she was going to call law enforcement, and he said that "would not be a wise thing to do."

She called 911, and they told her not to answer calls from him anymore.

Deputies called the number and left a message for the man to not contact the woman again.
