Forsyth County neighbor fights back

by Staff Reports

October 17, 2013

CUMMING, Ga. — After an ongoing dispute regarding damaged property, a man allegedly trespassed in his neighbor's yard and broke off tree limbs, according to a Forsyth Sheriff's incident report.

A woman in the 9000 block of Preserve Trail told deputies her neighbor jumped the fence of her property and broke a limb from a tree planted in her yard on Oct. 3.

The woman said her neighbor was upset that her landscape company cut down some plants that were allegedly in his property without permission.

Two witnesses told deputies the neighbor cursed at the woman, and because she had damaged his property, he was going to damage hers, the report said.

He allegedly broke about three limbs from her 2-year-old Redbud tree valued at about $200.

When deputies asked the neighbor about the incident, he denied entering her property and damaging the tree limbs.

Deputies told the neighbor not to take matter into his hands and call the sheriff's office should another dispute arise.
