Woman trips over pothole, seeks compensation in Forsyth County

August 19, 2013

CUMMING, Ga. — After a woman tripped in a hole, she suffered injuries that she wants the building owner to pay for, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff's incident report.

On Aug. 8, a woman told deputies she had tripped over a pothole in the sidewalk and had to go to the hospital.

At about 2 p.m. on July 31, the woman said she was walking by North Georgia Cabinets, 1712 Atlanta Highway, and tripped over a 5-foot by 4-foot deep pothole.

She said her husband called 911 and she was eventually taken to Northside Hospital-Forsyth. She said she spent about three hours at the hospital where she was treated for four broken teeth, cuts on her mouth and face and sprained arms.

She said she and her husband have been unable to contact the owner of the building about providing liability insurance information.
