Team Georgia wins Classic

Team Georgia Baseball is made up of 9-year-old boys from Alpharetta, Canton, Johns Creek, Milton and Suwanee. These boys are, from left, front row Ethan Chernik, Jack Whitty, C.J. CONYERS, Ga. — The Team Georgia Baseball Academy 9U travel team won June 9 the USSSA Round Tripper Classic in Conyers.

Team Ga. went 5-0, outscoring their opponents 63-13. Team Ga. beat the Parkview Panthers, the No. 2 ranked team in the state, 11-3 in the championship.

Team Ga. is comprised of 9-year-old boys from Alpharetta, Canton, Johns Creek, Milton and Suwanee. The team is ranked eighth in the state and ranks No. 1 for fewest runs allowed. The team is instructed in partnership with Grand Slam Sports Center in Alpharetta.
