Local vendors, such as Seven Seas Mediterranean Cafe, had plenty of food for sale at the event June 1. Organizers say many vendors sold out of their food. Jonathan Copsey.
ALPHARETTA, Ga. Appearing in the summer for the first time, this year's Brew Moon festival featured plenty of local restaurants and vendors as well as a record turnout of people.

"It was the biggest crowd we had," said Carol Anderson Wood, of the Alpharetta Business Alliance.

She said the event wanted to highlight local businesses, which paid off.

"We had local vendors and local people, the ones around town everybody knows," she said. "And most of the vendors sold out."

With beer provided by Alpharetta's own Blind Murphy Craft Beer Market, a dozen tents for local restaurants provided food to the crowds as the band Glow performed on stage.

Alpharetta will still have an October Brew Moon festival for winter beers.
